Message I bought the car July 19th 2004. Couldn't afford the insurance on a TT and so I went with a 96 NA from Norfolk VA (700mi away) with 49k miles on the clock. 9 years later, I picked up my TT block.

Motor was a complete long block, but the heads were unbolted for inspection as well as easier transportation. It was a package deal that I had to take everything Z related with me. Most of the stuff won't be used and instead resold (AMS max flow manifolds, divorced downpipes, and test pipes specifically) to fund the project. I haven't sorted through stuff yet, but if you see something feel free to shoot me a message. It took a full truck bed load to get it all home.

The target is 650 wheel. It seemed like a middle of the road number. I've got 400 wheel in my STi and I'm bored with that. I forget where I read it on here but over 700 would be lots of headache and maintenance to keep it running well.

I'm pretty excited. I decided that I wanted to tackle as much of this project myself as possible. This will be my first motor that I've assembled so any constructive criticism, advice, anything at all is welcome. With the holidays I doubt I'll do much that will cost money. This or next week I'm going to start prepping the block for the machinist, teardown etc.

Anyways, thanks for listening.
